These two Victorian spill/taper tins measure 7¼ inches. They are black toleware with gold colour Japanese type designs which are inevitably quite worn. There are no spills left in the tins. The writing however is clear with 'wax tapers London' written on the lids. Nice decorative item could be used to store 101 things - pen/ pencils, desk tidy, joss stick storage etc.
